The Complete Joke of Corporate Donations

So, Coca-Cola is really proud of their $2,000,000 over five-years donation to the World Wildlife Foundation to aid polar bears.

Well, that works out to $400,000 a year.

In 2009 Coca-Cola reported a total profit of 6.82 billion dollars (and their profits are increasing by a billion dollars every fiscal year since).

400,000 / 6,820,000,000 = 0.005%

So, if you earned $40,000 a year (net) and gave the WWF an equivalent percentage as Coca-Cola's donation, you would be giving them $2.00.

Puts things in perspective, hey?
